Aims

The purpose of this module is to use more gimp tools to add and shape text, to combine text with images and to create specific WEB objects like image maps and animated gifs.

Expected outcomes

Upon completion of this module, you should know / should be able to:

Submodule 12.1: Gimp for the WEB

• • create an image map.
  • create an animated Gif

Submodule 12.2: Blending Modes

• • appreciate the concept of “Layers modes”
  • apply the “Screen mode” to compose an image from its R, G, B components-channels
  • apply the “Darken only mode” to replace pieces of an image

Submodule 12.3: Text in Gimp

• • add text
  • add “text to path”
