Tables for page layout

Tables are used mainly for displaying data but they also provide a great tool to create complex layouts inside a page. With tables you can easily arrange text and  graphics, while keeping them grouped inside the table.

Create layout with table

To create any layout using tables follow these steps:

1. First determine the number of rows and columns that your layout requires
2. Insert a table without borders and no header
3. Using cell split and merge refine the layout.
4. Insert the content (text or images) and format
5. Change width and height of table rows, columns and cells if required.
