Page Formatting - Esxercise 2
In this exercise you are going to demonstrate your skills in creating headers and footers as well as page numbering. You are given a document which is a short story by Charles Dickens. Your goal is to add header, footers and page numbering. To make things harder you must delete the header and footer contents from the first page.
Instructions
Open the solution page-headers-footers-exercise-solution.pdf file. Examine the document. See the contents and formatting of header and footer. Also note that the first page header and footer are empty.
Open the page-headers-footers-exercise-start.odt. You will work on this document.
Header
Click on the top of any page and add a header with the text:
"The Baron of Grogzwig Charles Dickens"
Format the header with background color (gray) and border bottom only.
Footer
Click on the bottom of any page and add a footer with page numbering using the format:
Page <Page number> of <Page count>
Delete contents of First Page Header and Footer
Click on a header to format it again.
Deselect the option Same content on the first page.
Now go to the first page and delete the contents of header.
Repeat this process for the footer as well.
Save your file and submit
