Create a Pivot Table

In this exercise you will create a pivot table from a given data source. The data contains expenses for a household. The goal of this exercise is to create the pivot table shown in the image below. The pivot table has a year filter and summarizes the amount spent in each quarter by category.

Instructions

1. Open the file calc-pivot-table-exercise-start.ods. This file contains the data table that you will use to create the pivot table.

2. Select any data cell and click on the button.

3. Set up the pivot table layout. Drag the fields to the correct layout area. Examine the final pivot table and try to find where each field must be placed. If in trouble see the attached image calc-pivot-table-exercise-2.png.

4. Save your file and submit
